The Wood Shop.

Our newly-expanded woodworking shop includes facilities for cabinetry, millwork, pattern work, and accurate duplication of any part. We are able to build necessarily millwork, vaulted ceilings, center surround panels, facades, and decks in-house.

With our skilled craftsman, we can custom design and carve detailed decorative elements on carousels, including but not limited to horses, menagerie animals, chariots, band organs, ornate facades, corbels, and light bars. Traditionally, the band organ facade has the most elaborate carvings on a carousel. We carve intricate band organs to match the style and theme of a particular carousel. We have carved band organs for new machines, as well as replacements for antique carousels. We have also restored band organ facades for private collectors.

Our recent addition to our woodworking shop is a state of the art ShopBot CNC. With our in-house scanning services, we are building a library of digital scans of figures and facades. This helps ensure accurate reproductions when necessary on carousels that experience serious damage or wear over time. These services extend to projects large or small, for large corporations or private collectors. Our recent clients have included the F.R.I.E.N.D.S Experience and the Louisville Zoo.
